My 1911 45 ACP Bullets

When I first began shooting single stack I had no idea what type of bullets to buy. Jacketed bullets were out of my price range and I really was not interested in plated because the cost difference between jacketed and plated were minimal. I decided on cast lead bullets!

My expectations: an affordable bullet and great accuracy.  I purchased my bullets from Friendswood Bullet Company and Mastercast Bullet Company and have had great results with both!

As you can see in the above picture, I ordered 200gr LSWC sized at .452. I loaded 200 rounds with 3.9-4.0 grains of Clays to make major power factor in Single Stack division. I weighted 30 bullets and they all were within +/- 0.03 grains.

I ran them in my STI Spartan 1911 45 ACP with a non-ramped barrel and these rounds fed flawlessly and were very accurate. I had no problem hitting a 5" steel target at 22 yards freestyle.

I placed an order with Mastercast bullet company for their 200gr LSWC sized at .452. These bullets were very clean when I opened the package. I loaded around 200 bullets with 3.9-4.0 grains of Clays. Again, I was very impressed with the accuracy of these bullets and they all feed perfectly.

Both companies shipped medium flat rate and were received within a week and a half. I have no complaints about either company and would not hesitate to order again from either! These are quality cast bullets for great prices.
